Seathwaite Fell

Starting point: Seathwaite Farm, Borrowdale  (NY 235122)  Distance: 7.4 miles  Ascent: 2038'

A walk that utilises two valley routes for ascent and descent of Seathwaite Fell.

Route: From Seathwaite Farm, the Grains Gill route is followed to the head of the valley.  Turning northwest on the main route, walk down to Sprinkling Tarn and trace a route over the undulating ridge to the summit of Seathwaite Fell.  Retrace steps to pick up the Langdale-Wasdale route, heading northwest, then west for Sty Head Pass.  At the stretcher-box, walk NNE, passing Styhead Tarn before taking the well-used path back to Stockley Bridge and a return to the starting point.
